TOMOKO SATO

Tomoko Sato is an artist working primarily in found art, mixed media, and installation. Through simple interventions and titles, her work reveals the bodily functions that have been transferred onto everyday items and tools, simultaneously depicting and mediating the divergence of man and nature. The drive toward equilibrium that is found mottled throughout industrialized and commercialized objects is combined with functionality and the everyday in her work, lending to it a multilayered depth.
